Angel Heart Farm is Middle Tennessee's only non-profit therapeutic program that uses equine assisted therapy for children with chronic and life threatening illnesses and their families. In short, it is where humans and animals benefit from one another.

We have created a safe and caring environment where children can experience the warmth and peace of bonding with animals which has a positive effect in the healing process. Studies have shown that pet therapy can improve one's mental and physical health, shorten recovery time and decrease stress and incidents of depression in children and adults.

Through interaction with animals, children are empowered to be care givers instead of care recipients. Our goal is to improve the lives of the children with animal assisted therapy in conjunction with their medical treatment.

Each child will be paired up with a particular horse or pony which is best suited for their size and ability. There will be cases when a child may not wish to ride but they will have the opportunity to groom, feed a carrot or simply pet a horse, which can do a world of good for a child and the horse.
